Calm Beauty Salon is a wonderfully relaxing experience whether you’re a stressed out working Mum or just fancy a little a bit of pampering. The Salon was taken over by Sue Eastham in November 2006 and can be found on the main road going through Edgworth. The salon celebrated its 1st birthday celebration on 1st November this year. Its peaceful location and free car parking make the salon an easy, stress free experience from start to finish.
Entering the salon you take in the beautiful, natural décor, and the wonderful aroma. There are comfortable, cream, leather tub chairs in the waiting area, on which after having Espa pampering treatments, I had to sit on and come round from the deeply relaxed state I was in.
Sophie, who carried out the beauty treatments I had, took my coat, and showed me to one of the beauty treatment rooms. The room had a serene atmosphere with candles, fragrance of oils and peaceful music with splashing waves, attending to a range of senses.
Before treatments began, I was asked questions about my health, skin, and lifestyle so that Sophie could assess my skin care and the best type of facial for me. I was left to get myself comfortable on the bed and I was almost asleep before Sophie returned I was that relaxed.
A scent test was carried out before the facial started, so I could choose which I preferred and which oil blends my body needed. I chose the floral, balancing and fitness blends. My skin was cleansed then oils and Espa lotions were applied with the gentlist of touches to my face and neck. Pressure points around my eye sockets were worked and my shoulders massaged to relieve tension. With my eyes closed, I felt like I was floating and I can honestly say this was the best, most relaxing facial I have ever had.
Following the Espa Facial, I was given I head massage with oils. Again the treatment was wonderfully soothing. The waves and the music continued to play softly and the fragrances in the beauty room were fabulous
The final part of my treatments was a back, neck and shoulder massage. By now I was so deeply relaxed I was almost unconscious. It was a fantastic feeling and I had not a care in the world, I could have lay there all day. When the massage was finished, I was left to come round, it took me quite a few minutes to even think about getting up and leaving the room.
I sat feeling slightly dazed and very content on the leather tub chairs and managed a bit of conversation with Sue. As I sat and we talked, I began to come round. I was given a glass of cold water to refresh myself. It was nice to know too that I did not have a long drive home through heavy traffic so I would still benefit from the treatments as I returned to Bromley Cross.
Calm Beauty Salon is definitely one I will be going back to and recommending to my friends and family.
