Ladybridge Primary School News - Jan 08
Prospective MP Goes Green.
Conservative Parliamentary Candidate Susan William joined pupils from Ladybridge Primary School at the start of their Eco Week. She joined the schools' Eco-Council Members as they helped to keep their school clean by going litter picking.
Speaking at the school Susan said 'It was lovely to join the children today - they are so keen on environmental issues and aware of the things they need to do to keep their environment safe and pleasant. Mrs Ferguson should be commended in the way that she is leading the Eco-Council at the school. Everyone's enthusiasm is plain to see in the photo!'
The school has already acheived the Bronze Award for Eco schools and are aiming to obtain the Silver Award by the end of term.
Ladybridge School's Eco-Week continues all week long with lessons about various enviromental issues including recycling, litter, global awareness, energy, school grounds and bio-diversity.
