Thyme delicatessen and coffee shop at 4 - 6 Winter Hey Lane, Horwich, Bolton, is certainly getting carried away with the colour purple for this year’s Purple Love Week.
Not only will the shop be decorated with an abundance of purple - with balloons, ribbons and banners to celebrate seven days of loving great food - but it will also boast a colourful menu bursting with as many purple foods and drinks that you can think of (and there’s plenty because staff have created a weird and wonderful list - beetroot, purple potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli, aubergines, purple carrots, and olives, to name a few…)
Purple Love Week is Britain’s largest co-ordinated tasting event with the aim of encouraging shoppers to go into their favourite coffee shops, delis, restaurants, farm shops, butchers and bakers to enjoy the huge range of speciality food that is available in their area, all year round.
The event has been organised by food producer Olives Et Al and Speciality Food Magazine in a bid to support and unite smaller independent food shops everywhere.
